Our laminate range is multi-ply wood-derived product consisting of the following layer elements: Overlay, Decor layer, Core Board & Balancing layer. In simple terms laminate flooring is basically a ‘photograph’ of real timber that is engineered onto a backing board and covered with a melamine coating.

Laminate construction in detail

Overlay
The overlay is the resin-coated wear layer of laminate flooring products. It is composed of aminoplastic, thermosetting melamine resins and strew aluminiumoxid.

• Techwear: A durable, no wax, impact resistant surface that cleans easily Transparent, it assures a veritable protection of the decor without impoverishing its aesthetic power.

Decor Layer
The decor layer is the visible differentiating element. The best designs are deceptively true to life reproductions thought of and worked on by wood designers for perfect realism. The best printers on the market are used to reach the highest possible printing quality

Core Board
The core (or HDF) board layer is the invisible differentiating element. High density fibreboard (HDF) is the compact, processed wooden core play of laminate. Soft and hardwood are used from selected sawmill off-cuts saturated with synthetic resin pressed under very high pressure.

Balancing Layer
The balancing layer is the melamine impregnated kraft paper on the underside of the core ply. This layer protects the ore from moisture ingress and guarantees dimensional stability.
